Meaning & Mission
In Yoruba, "Ó Ti Yá" means Let's Do This | Let's Go | "I Am Ready"
Whether a child or young person is facing a tough challenge, trying to meet a tight deadline, presenting their homework or facing an audience, we want to equip them that mindset and attitude, "O Ti Ya", "I Can Do This", "I Am Ready".


Modus & Approach
O Ti Ya has the primary goal of building confidence, boldness and public speaking skills of young people. Our approach utilises the confidence-building presentation-enhancing odds-defying components of the performing arts, blended with hands-on public speaking coaching. In line with our Tàn Mọ́lẹ̀ vision, this shall be accomplished through Yoruba arts and culture.
Our Faculty
From a PhD Scientist who specialises in personal development and leadership coaching to a Public Speaking Coach with 21 years experience, and from a Yoruba Lecturer and Music Director to a renowned Dancer and Educationist in African Arts, the Ó Ti Yá faculty offers the pedigree that would bring out the best in children and young people.

Membership
Rather than just be a language school or dance class, O Ti Ya offers a well-rounded and wholesome approach to building young people's confidence and developing their public speaking skills. Ultimately, our programme intends to develop your child's boldness and help them attain Presentation Mastery .... a level that many people seldom attain in a lifetime!
For a limited time, the following are our Introductory Rates and apply to children and young people:

£35 per child (all-inclusive) i.e. including online classes, performing arts and public speaking coaching.

£25 for each additional sibling.
For those who want to do only the Online Classes for Yoruba language:

£15 per child
-
£10 for each additional sibling.
Notes
-
The term "Child" shall refer to ages 16 and under. The youngest age that we would recommend joining shall be 6 years old.
-
University students will be encouraged to volunteer and serve as Coaching Assistants, especially those whose studies pertain to music and the performing arts.
-
Students aged 21 and under, who are currently attending university will be charged a flat fee of £20 (all inclusive).


Venue & Schedule
-
Online Classes on Mondays, 7:30 - 8:30 pm starting February 9
-
All in-person sessions and activities take place on Saturdays, 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm, starting February 14
-
Presently, the sole venue for all in-person activities and programmes is Ladywood Leisure Centre, Ladywood Middleway, Birmingham B16 8TR.
